Long and Distguished list of liars
The following are excerpts from my new book Decide To Live. Many of
practices, ended up broke or in jail, are lying. Why would they? Why
would anyone? And if they are not lying; if in fact they are telling the
truth then a great many people in our medical community have been
mislead and in turn, have mislead you and I.
Dr. Hans Nieper is a world famous oncologist and the developer of the standard anti-
cancer cytotoxic drug cyclophosphamide. In 1970 he co-authored a brief paper on
Laetrile with Dean Burk, in which they stated that "...in the treatment of cancer, the
active principle of nitrilosides is to be used mainly in prophylaxis [prevention] and
early protective therapy.... On the other hand, the complete atoxicity [lack of toxicity]
of this method of treatment, which is maybe noth-ing else but a rediscovered natural
principle, permits the unlimited use of this substance". (18) In 1972 Nieper told
reporters while in the U.S.: "After more than 20 years of such specialized work, I have
found the non-toxic Nitrilosides - that is, Laetrile - far superior to any other known
cancer treatment or preventive. In my opinion it is the only existing possibility for the
ultimate control of cancer".
Robert Atkins, M.D., notes that "Amygdalin appears to neutralize the oxidative
cancer-promoting compounds such as free radicals.... It's just one more key component
for keeping cancer from growing or spreading. Contrary to what people have said
about Laetrile... it should be considered an effective, entirely ' safe treatment for all
types of cancer."
P.E. Binzel published his results from treating cancer patients with Laetrile between
1974 and 1991. He used a combination of intravenous and oral Laetrile. Intravenous
doses started with 3 gms and worked up to 9 gms. After a period of months, oral
Laetrile, 1 gm at bedtime, was begun in place of the injections. Binzel also used vari-
ous nutrient supplements and pancreatic enzymes, as well as a low animal-protein, no
junk-food diet as part of his regimen. Out of a series of 180 patients with primary
cancer (non-metastasized, con-fined to a single organ or tissue), 138 were still alive in
1991 when he compiled his treatment results.
Dr. John Morrone reported his results from using Laetrile with 10 patients suffering
from "inoperable cancer." The treatments ranged from 4 to 43 weeks in length, and a
range of 9 to 133 gms Laetrile was given through intravenous injections. Morrone
concluded his report: "The use of Laetrile... in 10 cases of inoperable cancer, all with
metastases, provided dramatic relief of pain, discontinuance of narcotics, control of
fetor [stench from a tumor], improved appetite, and reduction of adenopathy [swollen
lymph nodes]. The results suggest regression of the malignant lesion.... No other side
effects [other than transient episodes of low blood pressure] were noted ex-cept slight
itching and a sensation of heat in the affected areas, which was transitory in all cases."
Dr. John Richardson -“Radiation and/or radiomimetic poisons will reduce palpable,
gross or measurable tumefaction. Often this reduction may amount to sev-enty-five
percent or more of the mass of the growth. These agents have a selective effect—
radiation and poisons. They selectively kill everything except the definitively neoplastic
[cancer] cells.For ex-ample, a benign uterine myoma will usually melt away under
radia-tion like snow in the sun. If there be neoplastic cells in such tumor, these will
remain. The size of the tumor may thus be decreased by ninety percent while the
relative concentration of definitively neo-plastic cells is thereby increased by ninety
percent-

take radiation if he had a brain tumor. And I asked him, 'but, do you send people for
radiation?' and he said, of course. 'I'd be drummed out of the hospital if I didn't."---

For five years, between 1972 and 1977, Laetrile was me-ticulously tested at Sloan-
Kettering under the direction of Dr. Kanematsu Sugiura. Dr. Sugiura was the
senior laboratory researcher at Sloan-Kettering with over 60 years experience. He
had earned the highest respect for his knowledge and in-tegrity. He was the perfect
person to conduct experiments since his quest for truth blocked out anything else.
Dr. C. Chester Stock, the man in charge of Sloan-Kettering's labora-tory-testing
division wrote this about Dr. Suguira, "Few, if any, names in cancer research are as
widely known as Kane-matsu Sugiura's”
The official report about Laetrile from Dr. Suguira read: "The results clearly show
that Amygdalin significantly inhib-its the appearance of lung metastasis in mice
bearing sponta-neous mammary tumors and increases significantly the inhi-bition
of the growth of the primary tumors… Laetrile also seemed to prevent slightly the
appearance of new tumors… The improvement of health and appearance of the
treated animals in comparison to controls is always a common obser-vation.”
This was obviously unexpected and Memorial Sloan Ket-terling Hospital who was
formerly drooling over Suguira’s work was now trying to discredit what he had
discovered. They switched gears and immediately put new researchers on the case
in order to rebuke what he had uncovered. However after all the hoopla; after all
the mudslinging targeted at this elderly gentleman, Dr. Sugiura was asked
suddenly by a re-porter at a press conference if he stuck to his report. Dr. Sugi-ura
clearly and boldly stated, "I stick," even though since his original statement Sloan-
Kettering was trying to discredit eve-rything which he had done.
Dr. Ralph Moss was the public affairs director for Sloan Kettering at the time. He
was told by his superiors time and time again to discredit any findings in favor of
laetrile. Other researchers had been assigned to laetrile in order to cast doubt at
what Suguira had discovered. These researchers would mimic tests done by Suguira
using only ¼ of the amount of laetrile, and to no ones great surprise laetrile failed
in such instances. As with any drug or supplement; there must be a threshold
amount of the substance given before results can be obtained.
Dr. Moss watched for several years while all of this unfolded. During this time he
was told to lie; distort findings and to drive a nail in the Laetrile coffin. Now Ralph
Moss was'nt rolling in money; he had two small children and a wife who did not
work. He liked his job and felt that he was on a great career path at Sloan
Kettering. In Moss’s own words “he loved his job but found himself in a place
which was “morally untenable.” However on a Friday in November of 1977, he
convened his own press conference and raised charges that Laetrile information had
been suppressed and that Suguira’s work proved that it was an effective palliative
drug.
Upon returning to work on the following Monday, Dr. Moss found his belongings
packed and was told that he was fired. He was then escorted out of the building by
armed guards mumbling threats to him. Now this is nothing new. There have been
many people over the years who have come to bat for Laetrile only to be shot down
by the institution. Hence, a lie told often enough does indeed become the truth.

The great lie is that we are making strides in the war against mortality data from 2006. Please note that there is no progress being made.
